Getting Started
Start with registration, research conversations, and literature search, and learn how to use projects, materials, and credits
Ai4Scholar brings literature search, PDF parsing, research writing, scientific drawing, and presentation creation into one research workflow. The web app requires no installation; connect plugins and APIs as needed.
Where to start
- Quick Start: Begin with a specific research question, save materials, and ask follow-up questions.
- Research Workspace: Learn about the two levels of navigation, conversations, model settings, and personal space.
- Credits and Plans: Understand permanent credits, model and tool charges, top-ups, and usage details.
- Projects: Organize conversations and materials into a project when you need to keep working on the same topic.
Choose the right entry point
After you sign in, “Get Started Free” opens the workspace available to your account. Accounts with research mode enabled can enter the research workspace; other accounts can use the existing tool pages. References in this documentation to the research sidebar, conversations, and model settings describe research mode. Standalone tool URLs remain available.
To access scholarly data from your own code, see Open API and Integrations and Extensions.
