Dify integration
Use Ai4Scholar academic search in Dify workflows or agents
Overview
The Dify integration primarily uses the official plugin. After installation, you can add paper search, author queries, and citation analysis to Dify workflows or agents. Available interfaces and permissions depend on the current version in the plugin marketplace.
Setup
- Open Ai4Scholar's Dify integration page and follow the link to the official Dify plugin marketplace.
- Install the plugin in the target Dify workspace and enter your Ai4Scholar API key when prompted for authorization.
- Add an Ai4Scholar tool to a workflow or agent, enter a query, and run a test.
- Confirm that the result fields and credit consumption meet expectations before connecting summarization, citation, or report-generation nodes.
Plugin installation, regional availability, and workspace permissions are controlled by Dify. If your workspace cannot install the plugin, use the Open API to configure an HTTP tool yourself.

Costs and troubleshooting
- Ai4Scholar API usage is billed separately from Dify platform, deployment, and model usage. Installing the plugin does not include those costs.
- If an API key is invalid or the balance is insufficient, check the key status and account balance in the Open Platform first.
- If the tool does not appear in the node list, reload the plugin or contact your Dify workspace administrator. Plugin names, parameters, and response fields depend on the current marketplace version.
