Materials in a Project
Manage papers, parsed full text, research documents, images, and presentations, and use selected materials in conversations
View files in Personal Space
“Personal Space” brings together files accessible to the current account. Filter by file category, project, and name; switch between grid and list views; open previews; and inspect the sources.
Files that have not been organized into a project remain available in Personal Space. If a file category fails to load, the page prompts you to retry. Do not treat a list that has not finished loading as a complete inventory of your materials.
Common material types
| Material | Source | What you can do next |
|---|---|---|
| Saved papers and literature lists | Literature Search | Verify sources, export citations, and use them as research materials |
| PDFs and parsed full text | Document Parsing | Open the original result, download Markdown, and extract references |
| Research documents | Research conversations or Writing Editor | Preview, edit, or export available formats |
| Images and vector results | Scientific Drawing or Image Vectorization | Preview, download, and use in later research |
| Presentations | Paper to Presentation | Open the corresponding preview, download, or editing entry |
Available actions depend on the file type and current result. An image preview does not necessarily include an SVG, and a presentation thumbnail does not mean a downloadable PPTX has been generated.
Add to project materials
Select materials in a supported tool result, click “Add to Project Materials,” choose the target project, and confirm.
This saves or links the selected version for use in that project. It does not move the original research conversation or automatically send a new research request. If the original file changes later, you must explicitly select a new version to change the material used in subsequent work.
Use in a conversation
Clicking “Use in Conversation” adds the material to the draft in the current or selected conversation. Check the attachments, add your research instructions, and then click Send.
For example, after bringing the parsed full text of two solid-state battery papers into a conversation, ask it to “Use only the attachments to compare the material systems, experimental conditions, and limitations reported by the authors.” The interface indicates how many materials can be added per turn.
Reopen a PDF
Clicking “Open This Parsing Result” in Personal Space or Conversation Files opens the same record within the research tool workspace. The back button returns to the originating space or conversation. Refreshing the page does not submit the file for parsing again.
Parsing records are saved independently to your personal account. Adding the full text to a project only creates a material association; it does not require uploading the PDF again.
Export and save
Download parsed PDF text as Markdown and export references as BibTeX, RIS, or other available formats. Research documents, drawings, and presentations have their own download actions. After export, check the file content and citation sources. Keep a local copy of important results as well.
